Christmas Letter
We moved! Please note our new address Art and Ronda King sending you joyful Christmas greetings! Our family Newsworthy Events chronicled here:
Jan A Greyhound bus slides and flips over on icy roads near Missoula, Mt. Our son Brenden is on board. He survives with bruises. His two laptops fly out the window and are crushed under the bus.
Feb Theron gets braces. Willa learns to ride a 6-ft tall unicycle. We celebrate Grandpa Frank’s 97th birthday.
Mar Grandma Lauretta falls and fractures her back. She spends 10 days in the hospital and then rehab. Recovery is slow. Sierra returns home from Bolivia in time for Spring Quarter at the University.
May Ronda runs the Tin Man. Bethani returns home from a year in Germany. Ian turns 20.
June Bethani, Sierra and Hannah were out of the country last Christmas, so they make a full Christmas Dinner extravaganza.
July We measure children’s height and find that Caleb is now 6’ 5” tall and growing fast. Elissa and David move to TwentyninePalms, CA
Aug We take a Road Trip to Wisconsin, camping across Montana, then spend a week at Camp Wakonda with Taylor. On the return trip we caravan through Yellowstone with our friends the Balasingham family, making great memories! Art starts teaching college business classes at the Coyote Ridge prison.
Sep School starts. Sierra and Hannah at WWU, Taylor a Senior and Caleb a sophomore at WWVA. The three youngest in home school. We spend a wonderful weekend camping at the Oregon coast. Elissa and David and children visit and we have a birthday smash in the park for Mossen. We start shopping for a house.
Oct Launching milestones for three children - Ian lands a job at Smith Foods in Weston. Brenden lands a job at a bank in Portland, Bethani lands a job at a hospital in Portland.
Nov David and Elissa lose a baby boy at 20 weeks. They named him Peter. We cry.
Dec We take the plunge back into real estate and buy a house. Rylee has the coolest bedroom of all. Ask her for a peek, she will be glad to give you a tour.
Frank and Lauretta (Art’s parents) move from Assisted Living to our new house with us. We are glad to have them in the midst of our busy life and at the meal table with their grandchildren every day.
Wrap-up With all but two of our children home for Christmas and a new home, we count our blessings. We look forward to getting your updates. May the true Spirit of Christmas be with you and your family.
With Love from all of us;
Art & Ronda, David & Elissa, Brenden, Bethani, Sierra, Hannah, Ian, Taylor (18), Caleb (16), Theron (15), Willa (13), Rylee (8), Mossen (4), Cheyenne (2)
